Our critical and collaborative research approach seeks to enhance your work for change.
Our engagement practices value the expertise of community members and organizational leaders. We work with grassroots organizations, member-based non-profits and co-ops, and municipal governments to engage a variety of stakeholders and communities with our robust set of engagement tools. Areas of our engagement expertise include: mapping; participatory design, planning, and development; and multi-media participant-led investigations.

We provide end-to-end workshops trainings development that directly meets your needs. Our workshops, trainings, lesson plans, and facilitation guides mobilize knowledge and capacity toward your learning outcomes. Our workshops are all participatory in nature. Examples of Reflex workshops include: Planning 101; governance models for community organizations; consensus-based decision-making; community engagement strategies; active listening; anti-oppression; diversity and equity in Urban Planning & Design.

Our planning approach aims to meet your organization’s objectives and theory of change at all levels. Planning projects generally follow a vision-research-engage-report process, and we are open to adapting to your needs!
